Happily Ever after
Title sequence, credits and a video describing my progress.
Schoolassignment: make the titles to the non-existent remake of a Dutch movie of your choice.
I chose the film 'Lang en Gelukkig' to remake for an English crowd. A British audience would love the humor used in the film so it would be perfect.
The film is about fairytales so I think my choice to go along with that theme needn't be explained.
I love fairytales a lot and they always make me remember the days in which I would stay over at my grandma's. She would read me fairytales for bedtimestories and I'd adore the images in the book.
Admittedly, nowadays those same images don't look so great to me anymore, so I went looking for some old ones, like the ones used in the credits. Once I found those I had my style for the video's!
Everything is made using stopmotion. I made a rather big set underneath the dining table with at least 15 trees.
The book featured in the credits is real too. I bought a couple of old used books with yellowing pages and from every book ripped out the first and last blank page.
That way I had enough old looking pages to print my credits on and through the careful use of tape made sure the pages were bound into the book.
Mind you, nothing is photoshopped.
I added some adjustment layers in After effects, but I didn't change anything substantial.
